Time is something that you can never exchange or trade for something else.
People always tell you to slow down for a minute. I don’t think that is possible. You have to keep up. You have to continue walking forward. You have to take in as much as you can as you go, because slowing down is not possible.
There is only so much time. Time to lay a brick today and continue building tomorrow. No matter how perfect you set the brick or what it entails, enjoy it. Bricks will maintain your foundation and form a house.
Graduation is a brick. Moving is a brick. Sacrifice is a brick. Pursuit is a brick.
Time will not slow down for you. Instead, you have to enjoy every second of that passing time. You might think most days lead to dull and boring bricks. Do not let that be the case. Do not give in to excuse, or reasons why you can’t, and do it.
Living is a brick.
The small details in life are as exciting as anything you will come across. And when you think that your day has not lead you anywhere, remember and appreciate those details. Wind blown leaves. Rumbling lawn mowers. Colors. Blues skies. Other inhabitants. Architecture.
Create a visual diary in your mind. That diary is more important than any Tumblr feed, blog or journal. Keep your mind running. Then, you will continue to run. You will run for days, weeks, months, until you get to where you want to go. If you find yourself in a position where you want to run another direction, then turn. But know that it will take time to gain momentum in that direction.
So run, and don’t let others get in the way your house or trail.

Looking for something easy and comfortable to slip on this Summer?
A while back I bought a necklace from AE for a contest. It had a very minimal design, key pendant and no advertising marks. What I liked best about it was the drawstring leather necklace because it is easy to loosen. I don’t like strangling necklaces like those weird shell ones people used to wear, more like how Ashton wears them in Spread.
I couldn’t find any for a reasonable price that would fit like this one from AE. That or I didn’t like the pendant that was being sold with it. So through extensive research and….well just Googling a few things I found a way to piece together my own. It’s more fun because I get to pick the pendant, the necklace itself and of course, it’s something that only I have. Who doesn’t want something no one else has?
This is super easy and no shocker. It required some needle nose pliers. Depending on how you want to attach the pendant, you may need a couple inches of wire too. Mine came with a ring, so I didn’t have to worry about that.
I found these leather necklaces from ijitsa. I picked up two so that I can wear one without a pendant or maybe buy one down the road to put on it. Either way, they’re cool and can be worn tight or loose. The AE one is closer to the 3mm. I would suggest trying that the 3mm, as the 4mm is a thicker necklace.
I’m sure you could buy some leather and tie the knots yourself, but this is an alternative.
The next step is up to you. I went on Etsy and found an old Lebanese currency coin to hang around one of my necklaces. You can spend as much as you want, find whatever cool design you would like, even buy a few different ones. This is your own personal piece, so really find a unique stuff. Hell, I bet your parents or grandparents have something hidden away that would fit this step just fine.
Once everything came, I took a pair of pliers and fastened the pendant to the necklace. That easy.
The way I look at it, is you’re going to spend the same amount or more purchasing a mass produced one, so why not just pick everything out yourself?
